    With driving rhythm, skillful picking and soulful singing, High Country brings the energy and experience of six seasoned professionals to the spirited American art form known as bluegrass music, and has earned its place as the West Coast’s premier traditional bluegrass band.

    Ed Neff’s Blue and Lonesome

    A traditional Bluegrass band consisting of Ed Neff, Mike Wilhoyte. Larry Cohea, Paul Shelasky and Jeff King. Blue & Lonesome has captured the traditional sound of bluegrass music, as it was intended to be played, incorporating the experience and talents of five of the top traditional players in the business today.

    RoseBud Blue

    RoseBud Blue brings together some of the very best bluegrass musicians in the West to play top notch traditional bluegrass music, using banjo, mandolin, fiddle, string bass and guitar, in the style of Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers and Jimmy Martin.

    Mt. Diablo String Band

    From Walnut Creek, California the Mt. Diablo String Band performs energetic old-time music, featuring inspired fiddle tunes and vocal numbers. The band has been performing periodically for the last few years in Northern California.

    Mighty Crows

    The Mighty Crows is a Bay Area bluegrass band with a traditional style and repertoire reminiscent of the seminal bluegrass acts of the ‘40s and ’50s. The band is built around the powerful trio singing of Chris Smith (guitar), Jeff Zieba (banjo), and Mark Wardenburg (fiddle). Band front man Ken Torke plays mandolin and keeps things moving as they gather around a single mic.

    Matt & George and Their Pleasant Valley Boys

    Matt & George and Their Pleasant Valley Boys is a contemporary country music outfit directly inspired by the exciting acoustic country music of the late 1940s that has come to be known as “Blue Grass.” Their program also features the gospel singing stylings of the Pleasant Valley Quartet.

    One of Northern California’s premier bluegrass bands, Highway One plays an exciting blend of traditional, contemporary, and original bluegrass. Performing to enthusiastic crowds at music festivals and clubs since1998, the band has earned a solid reputation and loyal following for its tight three-part vocal blend and its polished instrumental work.

    Said to be the “little girl with the big voice” Angelica’s music is traditional bluegrass with a new twist.

    Wild Blue is Marin County’s premiere bluegrass band. The quartet Wild Blue mixes bluegrass classics and originals with folk and country songs, providing an entertaining and energetic show for audiences of all ages.

    Dark Hallow

    Dark Hollow helped blaze a trail for the recent bluegrass revival in San Francisco, performing traditional favorites and original songs for more than seven years in the city’s trendy Mission District. Each band member has between fifteen and thirty-five years of experience playing bluegrass, and together they can really make an audience feel the bluegrass spirit.

    From a small town at the base of the great Hyperbole Mountain comes a new band. We play songs from the bluegrass gospel tradition.
